This individual will be respon DESCRIPTION The Supply Chain First Mile Investigations Specialist, will provide support and analysis of investigation and resolution services pertaining to the protection of people, product, assets and data for Amazon. This individual will be responsible for actionable recommendations derived from data analysis that impacts Supply Chain programs and investigations while driving profitability through loss prevention and shrink improvement. The Supply Chain Investigations Specialist is a key member of the Loss Prevention organization, working with Supply Chain Loss Prevention teams, as well as cross functional teams throughout the organization. This role directly supports Investigations Managers. This position is based in Arizona, but field locations will be considered based on needs of the candidate and business and will report in to the Senior Program Manager - Supply Chain First Mile, Strategic Investigative Solutions, Loss Prevention, Global Security Operations. Key job responsibilities . Proactively identifies investigations through extracting data evidence from internal reporting, data analysis, store reported incidents, dashboards, queries, and trends (both internal and external). . Conduct root cause analysis to determine how to prevent future incidents and influence operational best practices with key stakeholders . Create and maintain queries that identify anomalies for future investigative research. . Conduct extensive public records research and open source intelligence to support investigations . Prepare reports of investigative findings and communicates to key stakeholders. . Develop, enhance, and track reporting on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner. . Manages set expectations prioritizing own workload and provides visibility and updates to manager regarding project timelines and deliverables. . Work with cross-functional teams across Amazon to collaborate on risks and investigations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS . High School or equivalent diploma . 1+ years of experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, asset protection . 1+ years of logistics, supply chain, or carrier operation experience . 1+ years of data analysis/visualization/programming/queries (Tableau, SQL, etc.) . 1+ years of MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel . Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines with the ability to multi-task when needed . Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Writing skills are particularly important for this role . Commute and/or travel as required . Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays . Have the ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience . Prior Law Enforcement/Criminal Investigations experience or E-Commerce investigations and analytics experience for Finance, Risk, Investigations, or Compliance, or retail Loss Prevention investigations . Experience with Supply Chain operations or Supply Chain risk management . Strong analytical leader with effective management and problem-solving skills . Passion for data-driven research and inquiry . Detailed knowledge of theft and statutory laws/regulations . Experience using SQL or Python . Experience with Thompson Reuters CLEAR, IBM, DHL360, Tableau, (or link analysis), and/or other related analytic tools. .
