Job Summary



We are looking for a responsible and motivated IT Administrator to join our team!

This role includes system administration, account setup, software installations / troubleshooting on Windows operating systems, and automation / scripting tasks, with the long-term potential to grow into a DevOps role.

Hybrid work option is available based on performance and familiarity with our systems.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in problem solving IT-related work, have a background / experience in IT and eager to learn automation and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities (Starting Responsibilities)



Provide support, guidance and troubleshooting to ensure software is able to install and run on end-user computer. Assist to set up and configure team member desktop, software environments, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted IT operations. Assist team member to improve workflow / operations, write scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or VBA) to automate workflows and reporting. Manage web hosting tasks, including website setup, updates, and maintenance Manage database operations and run SQL queries Work with team members and vendors to identify and resolve software, hardware, and network issues and project coordination Assist in documenting processes and creating SOPs for IT and administrative tasks. Document existing systems and any new systems developed Assist with data and system migrations when necessary Work with team member to identify and resolve software and compatibility issues resulting from Windows OS updates and third-party integrations. Develop internal tools, automation, and integrations to improve operation Communicate issues clearly to relevant stakeholders, figure out and provide steps to resolution once resolved Be responsive to IT and administrative situations, supporting fast-paced office operations Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve IT challenges. Be committed to providing effective solutions and improving system performance.

Growth Responsibilities (DevOps Path)



Learn how to package and release desktop application installers Learn and implement infrastructure automation and deployment scripts Gain experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git) Assist with data and system migrations and deployment projects as needed Develop internal tools, automation, and integrations to support DevOps and company operations Document systems, processes, and internal tools for future reference Gradually take ownership of deployment, scaling, and system reliability tasks

Requirements



Diploma, degree, equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineer or related field, or
Certifications such as

CompTIA A+

,

Microsoft Certified IT Specialist

, or similar.

Interest in IT-related work or background Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and a proactive approach to IT issues Experience assisting end users with software issues, including providing clear and concise support. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with users to resolve IT issues. Experience with handling basic web hosting using Docker, Linux (Ubuntu), Windows Server IIS Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or VBA) Basic understanding of databases (SQL) Organized, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies Ability to learn on the job and adapt to new systems and tools Able to communicate challenges effectively, identify resources and propose solutions needed to complete tasks Responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team including working / collaborating with technical support, vendors, and engaging with end users Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines Detail-oriented with a strong focus on system reliability, security, and performance Basic fluency in English and/or Malay

What We Offer



RM35 - 45 per hour. Minimum 4 hours per day. Total approximately 20-30 hours per week.
