The IT Executive is responsible to support the IT function of the school specialising in IT software.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & User Support
Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and students, ensuring systems and networks operate efficiently.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues, and manage helpdesk support requests.
Conduct basic user training on applications and systems when required.
2. Systems, Network & Infrastructure
Install, maintain, and support IT systems, servers, networks, and telecommunication infrastructure.
Monitor system and network performance and carry out troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance.
Manage system backups, data protection, and disaster recovery processes.
3. IT Security & Compliance
Enforce IT security policies, access controls, and user account management in accordance with school requirements.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g. PDPA, GDPR where applicable).
Support cybersecurity best practices and incident response as required.
4. Academic Systems & EdTech Support
Support academic and learning platforms such as SIS, LMS, and online assessment systems.
Provide technical support for classroom technology and assist teachers with technology integration.
5. Governance, Documentation & Asset Management
Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, inventory, software licences, and maintenance records.
Prepare basic IT reports and support audits, inspections, and accreditation visits.
6. Website, Digital Platforms & Vendor Management
Maintain the school website and support digital platforms including parent portals and email systems.
Liaise with IT vendors and assist with procurement and licence renewals.
7. Event, Examination & Safeguarding Support
Provide IT support for school events, examinations, and critical operations.
Ensure appropriate content filtering and technology safeguards are in place for students.
8. Other Duties
Undertake any other IT-related duties as assigned by the Principal or school management.
Job and Person Specification
Possess minimum Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
Required languages: English, BM
Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students' welfare.
Be self-motivated and responsible.
Ability to handle PC / Network / Server trouble shooting, basic IT related issues.
Knowledge of hardware, networking, security & surveillance and data entry
At least one (1) year experience in related field
Experience working in an education institute.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
