IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager

This company operates a B2B e-commerce platform that uses proprietary digital money (NOT cryptocurrency), to benefit the SME businesses and community. The operations are in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, UK, and Costa Rica.

They are looking for a talented and experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager who is passionate about their work and has demonstrated people and thought leadership. This role will be evaluated by its success in supporting external and internal customers. For external customers, this role is accountable for the overall robustness, performance, security, and availability of the platform, in a cost-effective configuration. For internal customers, this role is accountable for providing technology solutions for improving productivity and team collaboration in a secure environment, through infrastructure-as-code and automations.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with software development team and subcontractors to deliver, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the development, testing, and production environments.
• Design and develop cloud solutions using AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and networking services.
• Ensure that the cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, secure, and meets the performance and cost expectations of customers.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure that the development team is aligned with the cloud architecture and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and evaluate new cloud services and features to enhance infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and controls, and ensure that they are in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering using AWS services.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and networking services.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Experience in using cloud monitoring and optimization tools, such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Knowledge in ITIL processes, including change, incident, problem, and release management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• AWS certifications are a plus.
