About PPG internship program

PPG is looking for sharp, ambitious, and hardworking final year students to join the Information Technology Internship Program. The program provides an exciting full-time work experience where the intern will take on meaningful tasks and become an integral part of PPG IT Team and also includes many networking and social opportunities with senior leaders and intern peers. Our goal is to provide the intern with exposure to various career opportunities within IT while leading projects that are critical to a function or business unit.

You will be based at our Technology Center, Shah Alam, the heart and pulse of our IT activities, Centers of Excellence and Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor resources, servers, and Logs to set up alerts in case of issues.
• Implement/Manage Storage and Compute devices.
• Implement Security and protecting Identities.
• Involve in testing/POC activities on new technologies.

• A basic understanding of core Cloud Computing services on Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of the basic functioning of Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers in the Cloud or on-premises environment.
• Basic Knowledge of Big Data and Data Analytics concepts is a must.
• Need to have experience in using products such as PowerShell and Office 365. And Tool SSMS, Putty, PowerShell ISE, Visual Studio, Power BI, FileZilla, etc.
• Another important skill to focus on is programming knowledge. Azure administrators need to have expertise in any one of the programming languages. Programming languages such as CoreJava, SQL, Scala, and Python are preferable.
