Role Summary

Reporting to the Global Manager, SCM, HCS, the IT Procurement Manager will be responsible to creating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships with mid-level suppliers for the Dedalus Group

Job Functions

Key functions of this role include:

• Develop a Procurement Plan and coordinate the procurement of all materials, products/services and equipment necessary for the operation of the Dedalus Group or assigned projects.
• Negotiate delivery, terms and conditions, and costs.
• Solicit suppliers/vendors for materials/products/services through formal Requests for Services (RFSs) and/or Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and informal channels.
• Analyse bids for specification compliance and determine cost and establishing delivery commitments.
• Achieve Just-In-Time deliveries.
• Take corrective action to develop new sources or eliminate sources of supply that do not ship in accordance with contractual delivery schedules and requirement need dates.
• Ensure suppliers/vendor\xe2\x80\x99s adherence to applicable and industry standards and requirements, technical quality standards, and other corporate/business unit driven expectations.
• Lead procurement initiatives in assigned areas with emphasis in the usage analysis, standardization, consolidation and leverage of materials and services to reduce costs and inventory while maintaining effective service levels
• Develop sourcing strategies to meet technical requirements.
• Provide advice on relevant contracting issues to management and stakeholders.
• Prepare expiring supplier, vendor, contractor, consultant reports for management.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships to foster stronger business ties.
• Analyse and evaluate all elements of cost for assigned goods and services (total cost of ownership) to identify and obtain cost improvements through negotiation with suppliers and/or influencing the change of specification requirements.

Education & Experience

Essential

• At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in IT Procurement role OR as a Solution Architecture or doing IT Sales.
• Experience in the broader IT&T industry.
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• EXPERIENCE in working in a matrix structure within a large multinational organisation
• High level experience with IT contracts and contract negotiation
• A track record of delivering large scale Projects on time and on budget in keeping with defined Project Management principles
• Ability to influence remote teams/stakeholders of professionals; vendors; clients to achieve cost effective and timely solutions.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the IT industry trends at the global and local level.
• Demonstrated expertise in provision of high-quality customer service in a leveraged environment incorporating an understanding of quality customer service needs.

Desired

\xc2\xb7 Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, IT, Commerce or related discipline
