The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering infrastructure projects by managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, governance, and stakeholder communication. The role oversees end-to-end project delivery, including design, build, implementation, post-production support, and collaboration with vendors, infrastructure teams, and cross-functional units.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Planning
Define infrastructure project approach, milestones, schedules, and detailed work plans.
Establish project iteration strategy and evaluate iteration progress.
Work closely with infrastructure vendors (hardware, OS, database; excluding middleware).
Review infrastructure requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives and scope of work (SOW).
Communicate requirements, plans, and changes to all stakeholders.
Develop and validate project effort, timelines, and cost estimates using best practices and historical data.
2. Team & Stakeholder Management
Define roles and responsibilities of project team members.
Provide timely feedback to project resources regarding deliverable quality.
Attend project kick-offs and regular meetings to align teams to goals.
Coordinate work across internal teams, vendors, and multi-location stakeholders.
3. Project Control & Governance
Track all infrastructure-related orders, monitor progress, and align delivery timelines.
Monitor vendor/sub-contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with SOW and contracts.
Track project progress to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Continuously review and improve infrastructure project methodologies.
Maintain and update logs for constraints, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and issues.
Prepare weekly performance reports and monthly status reports for key stakeholders.
4. Design & Build Execution
Oversee the creation and completeness of design specifications.
Track procurement, delivery, and setup of infrastructure components.
Oversee configuration of the existing environment for new deployments.
5. Post-Production Support
Plan and establish post-go-live support structure and ensure operational readiness.
Facilitate project closure activities.
Conduct benefit analysis after project completion and present findings to management.
6. Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Lead project delivery with support from technical experts.
Ensure strict adherence to IT project delivery methodologies.
Drive accountability, role clarity, and milestone completion.
Identify risks early and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Technical & Functional Skills
5-8 years project management experience in IT environments.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (server, storage, network, DR/BCP).
Knowledge of foundational infrastructure services:
Active Directory
DNS/DHCP
Identity Access Management (IAM)
Understanding of cloud services: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
Experience working with infrastructure engineers and vendors.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to run effective meetings and manage multiple work streams.
Strong adherence to deadlines with high attention to detail.

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
