ROLE PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Scrum Master

REPORTS TO: Integration Engineering Lead

LOCATION: Selangor, Malaysia

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

BAT has implemented a Hybrid Integration Platform so that we can respond rapidly to new business requirements and leverage the appropriate technology for each scenario. We are looking for a Scrum Master to manage the integration projects across all components of the Hybrid Integration platform. You will coordinate sprints, retrospective meeting and daily stand-ups. The Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) capabilities are delivered via a mix of leading-edge tools, agile processes and people that have end-to-end ownership of solutions. It has Data Integration capabilities for batch data/ETL scenarios (Talend), Process Integration for Enterprise Application Integration (SAP PO, IS) with overarching API management (Mulesoft, SAP APIM).

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage each project\xe2\x80\x99s scope and timeline
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
• Coach team members in Agile Frameworks.
• DevSecOps release management: Life Cycle Management, Tooling support, Co-ordination with other COEs.
• Establish and promote DevSecOps culture within the team with focus on efficiency in the entire value chain.
• Promotes and ensures use of appropriate processes and tools, while contributing to the maintenance of the integration platform roadmaps.
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
• Help teams implement changes effectively.
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in a scrum master role.
• Familiarity with software development.
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
• Project or end user experience with integration and interface delivery in multiple roles (for example as support, developer, designer, architect).
• Working experience in areas of business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, designing solution, implementing feasible solution, conducting tests (FUT, SIT, UAT, RT), data conversion and supporting the solution.
• Have good engagement and communication skills and can work with stakeholders from all levels and globally. Have good command of English, both oral and written.
• Familiarity working with lean/agile software delivery methodologies (Scaled Agile, SAFe, SCRUM).
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
• Experience and knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.

GOOD TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

• Educated to degree level and relevant technology certifications, as well as a demonstrated history of self-learning.
• Experience in large global organisation using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers.
• Good to have knowledge on Enterprise Application Integration, ETL/ELT and API Management.
• Scrum master certification is a plus.
• Project management certification is a plus.
• Experience and familiarity with API concepts and lifecycle management.
