IT Support Administrator 3:

Job Summary:

  • \xc2\xb7 Provide support to MACOM employees for their personal computing devices, hand held devices and office productivity software tools
  • \xc2\xb7 Triage and escalate issues with IT infrastructure
Primary Responsibilities:
  • \xc2\xb7 Troubleshoot and resolve user desktop issues (hardware / software / access / security / business applications)
  • \xc2\xb7 Escalate issues to Tier 3 as needed
  • \xc2\xb7 Build, maintain and deploy end user system images on devices
  • \xc2\xb7 Manage all work in service desk ticketing system
  • \xc2\xb7 Provide remote support for US & International offices
  • \xc2\xb7 Perform all work according to defined process while keeping pace with fast business growth
  • \xc2\xb7 Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes
  • \xc2\xb7 Conduct one on one and small group training to end users on supported technologies
  • \xc2\xb7 Assist in the ordering, receiving, storage, deployment, and retirement of PC assets
  • \xc2\xb7 Work with third party vendors to augment the functions of Internal IT
  • \xc2\xb7 Travel regularly to company locations inside the country
  • \xc2\xb7 Travel periodically to company locations outside of the country.
  • \xc2\xb7 Assist other remote IT teams with activities onsite.
Education and Skills Requirements:
  • \xc2\xb7 Great interpersonal & customer service skills, and a good team player
  • \xc2\xb7 Ability to troubleshoot simple to moderate complexity issue
  • \xc2\xb7 Windows 10 troubleshooting
  • \xc2\xb7 Ability to use one or more PC Imaging tools such as Ghost, Acronis, SCCM, LANDesk, KACE, etc.
  • \xc2\xb7 Good analytical problem solving skills to isolate and resolve problems
  • \xc2\xb7 Experience working from a help desk management system
  • \xc2\xb7 Able to lift and palletize heavy equipment. (PC\'s, monitors, and printers)
  • \xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently
  • \xc2\xb7 Ability to mentor and train IT Service Desk staff
  • \xc2\xb7 Comfortable switching quickly between tasks
  • \xc2\xb7 Demonstrates strong work ethic
  • \xc2\xb7 Ability to adjust to unforeseen challenges and think independently to continue toward goal resolution
  • \xc2\xb7 Experience working at IT service desk or IT end-user support
  • \xc2\xb7 Experience working on technologies mentioned in the above section
  • \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience
  • \xc2\xb7 5+ years related to IT support experience
