Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The IT Systems Architect (SA) will provide comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components at YTL(UK), taking into account approved architectures, strategies, policies, standards and patterns, whilst ensuring existing and other planned solution components remain compatible.

The role entails working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders during the development of relevant components to arrive upon agreed solution architectures that meet business and Information Technology (IT) needs. Outputs will cover elements such as integration design, data modelling, and production infrastructure design. The successful candidate will provide input to all aspects of the IT architecture.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Extensive and evidenced experience of:

Solution design and architecture of multi-system applications Working in one or more architectural domains with responsibility for system or sub-system design and integration
Good understanding and solution design experience of technologies relevant to YTL(UK), this includes, but is not restricted to, such as:

Microsoft Dynamics Microsoft Azure Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Collaboration Platforms (Office365, SharePoint) Infrastructure Technologies (Compute, Network, Storage) Application Lifecycle Management Development Platforms Logical & Physical Data Modelling ISO 27001 - Information Security Standard Significant experience of systems design and development methodologies (focus on reuse, maintainability, and supportable design), with desired experience of mobile development technologies. Bachelor's degree, Computer Science, or related field preferred. >5 years' experience in architectural or domain lead roles in application, integration, data or infrastructure. Experience of technologies in support of corporate functions such as those used for Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Legal and Public Relations. Experience of technologies in use within the water industry would be an advantage, such as those used in support of Customer Management and Billing, Asset Management, GIS, Operational Technology, Engineering and Modelling. Ideally some knowledge of architecture best practice methodologies, with experience of using modelling tools. Familiarity with software development lifecycles, service management processes (e.g. ITIL) and information security best practices.
