Job Description

The IT/OT Network Engineer bridges IT (business) and OT (industrial control) networks, designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining connectivity for systems like PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs, focusing on network security, segmentation (VLANs, firewalls), monitoring, and troubleshooting issues to ensure reliable, safe data flow between production floors and enterprise systems, often using protocols like OPC-UA and Modbus.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA), security (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS), and industrial devices.

Hardware:

Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc..

Certifications:

CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or specific OT/Security certs (e.g., SANS) are often required.

Soft Skills:

Problem-solving, communication (technical & non-technical audiences), project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Implementation:

Architect, deploy, and manage secure network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, Routers, Switches) for both IT and OT environments, including segmentation.

Security:

Configure firewalls, implement micro-segmentation, manage access controls, conduct vulnerability assessments, and align with frameworks like NIST Cyber Framework.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Resolve connectivity issues, perform firmware updates, manage backups, and ensure high availability with redundancy.

IT/OT Integration:

Facilitate secure data flow, onboard new tools, and integrate industrial assets (PLCs, sensors) with enterprise systems.

Monitoring & Documentation:

Use monitoring tools, analyze traffic, and create detailed network diagrams and documentation.

Collaboration:

Work with IT, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Automation teams.
The position is available immediately based in Subang Airport area and is for a 1 year contract (renewable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
