What you will do

Reporting to the Finance Manager of the Regional JAPAC Headquarters, the JAPAC Senior Finance Associate will support the finance manager in running statutory and financial reporting of the JAPAC headquarters entities in Hong Kong and Singapore. This includes, but not limited to, compliance filing, local statutory accounting and tax filing, government survey, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure financial compliance aligned to both local and corporate policies/accounting standards
• Support monthly closing, including raising and following up closing entries, supporting the monthly accrual process, analysing trial balance and balance sheet to understand and explain major variances, etc., to ensure financial reporting accuracy and completeness
• Conduct finance internal control verification including annual IICC verification, finance review of payment, BTA reconciliation, etc.
• Support the external audit process. Produce breakdown schedules for selected balances.
• Work and liaise with external accounting service providers for all accounting matters
• Prepare TP calculation to support any management fee charges
• Run JAPAC departmental capex forecast, budget and LRS
• Run Singapore GST and withholding tax computation and filing. Ensure filings are done on time
• Prepare and submit monthly cash flow forecast for JAPAC headquarters
• Support treasury in terms of bank account onboarding and maintenance for all JAPAC markets. Ensure all bank signatories are up-to-date
• Support JAPAC process improvement, simplification, and automation initiatives in F&A area

What we expect of you

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration
• Experience of more than 2 years in similar position/s in an international environment
• Experience in accounting and statutory reporting. Singapore GST and WHT filing experience will be a plus
• Fluency in English, both in written and verbal communication.
• Excellent user of MS Office applications (Word & Excel)

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in various areas of finance and accounting
• Certified Public Accountant
• Basic know-how of applicable laws concerning Singapore indirect taxes, accounting and consolidation
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in SAP
