Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance to US GAAP, ASC 606 and 842.
- Review customer arrangements to determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
- Partner with company stakeholders, including Pricing, Finance, and Contracts/Legal teams to assist internally in the structuring of contracts to support revenue recognition objectives.
- Prepare revenue treatment documentation checklist for qualifying transactions.
- Working with controllership and auditors on acceptance of the revenue dispositions.
- Provide revenue recognitions training to stakeholders.
- Support strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects to the company in the area of revenue assurance.
- Support existing deals with Revenue Recognition queries.
- Provide coaching to increase revenue recognition awareness.
- Language proficiency: Japanese and English
- Degree with a focus in business or accounting; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 5-7 years of finance experience, with a focus in revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Experience with lease accounting ASC 842 is a plus.
