Join us on our journey to #ForeverCaring as a Collections Associate, and you\xe2\x80\x99ll do the same.About RoleAs a Collections Associate in our new APAC Global Business Services (GBS), you will have the opportunity to play a role in reducing receivable open balances and improve the payment behaviour of our customers. At the same time, maintaining a high level of customer experience and contribute to the Cashflow target of our Group.Your key responsibilities will include:Contact our external customers and follow-up on all aged receivables via call, email or the collections tool. Reduce payment cycle and ensure the customers respect the agreed payment termsTo issue reminders in accordance with Convatec policies and proceduresTo work with the OTC Team Lead to pro-actively manage customer accounts as required by the SLA\xe2\x80\x99sTo investigate and address customer claims via disputesTo respond to general queries from customers regarding paymentsTo research and verify receipt of payments and investigate residuals (shortpay or overpay)To notify the OTC Team Lead regarding cash flow problems or unresponsive customersTo identify and process refund and write-off requestsTo negotiate and implement payment arrangement plans for delinquent customers in accordance with the Convatec GOATo prepare trackers and assist with starting legal proceduresTo receive notification of customer bankruptcy, verify obtained information and alert the OTC Tower Lead for further escalationTo properly document the outcome of any contact with the customer in the collections tool to ensure audit trail and customer relationsTo participate in review calls as neededTo update the required SOPs and work instructions on a regular basisIn this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our other GBS teams in Lisbon and Bogota, local finance, sales and marketing.Our APAC GBS supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.You will be joining a newly formed Global Business Services team, with opportunities to grow, within Order To Cash or wider finance functions.About YouTo be successful you will have:Preferably at least 1 year Collections / Finance or Accounting / Customer Service experience across different marketsUnderstanding of country markets and its specific payment methodsWorking knowledge of SAP and Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated knowledge of credit analysisGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationA proactive approach towards challenges and problem solving able to work autonomouslyExcellent organizational and time management able to work to tight deadlines and with switching prioritiesA customer-first mindset to fit with our \xe2\x80\x9cforever caring\xe2\x80\x9d brandPrevious experience working in a GBS environment is a plusLanguages:Good written and spoken English is essentialA proficiency in Japanese is a MUST (at least JLPT N2 level)\xe2\x80\x8bQualifications/Education:Diploma / Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or Finance is desirable however not mandatoryOur ambitions will bring the very best out in you.
