Job Description

We are seeking a

Java Developer

to join a high-performing technical team focused on developing enterprise-grade applications for financial, banking, CRM, and collections/recovery systems. This role involves hands-on coding, technical design, and problem-solving within distributed application environments. Ideal for candidates with experience in Java, SQL, XML, and web programming.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

Java-based applications

using SQL, XML, JSON, and related technologies. Participate in full software development lifecycle -- from user requirements, technical design, coding, to testing. Contribute to

multi-tier distributed applications

and GUI solutions. Collaborate with a

small, focused team

of 4-6 developers to deliver cohesive software solutions. Troubleshoot and support existing implementations, ensuring reliability and performance. Prepare technical documentation and reports as required. Occasionally travel regionally for project-related activities.

Qualifications

Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in

Computer Science, IT, or Engineering

. Hands-on experience in

Java development

and familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON. Experience in

Application Development

for financial, ERP, CRM, collections, or banking systems is advantageous. Knowledge of

Linux/Unix environments

and web programming preferred. Strong

analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills

. Good command of

English

(written and spoken). Willingness to work onsite in Kota Damansara and assigned project sites.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Are you comfortable with this being a contract position? This position is a 2-year project-based independent contractor role. You'll receive a fixed monthly pay, but you'll be responsible for handling your own statutory contributions (EPF / SOCSO / Tax). Would you be open to this arrangement?
