Job Description

Assist Purchasing Manager in all purchasing activities and play an important role in procurement. Provide technical support to Purchasing Department. Responsible to provide most suitable alternate materials, processes and technologies and implementation to business. Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive prices. Negotiate with suppliers on lead time, cost and quality to maintain company maximum benefit. Support Purchasing Department to meet department objective related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality. Develop effective parts monitoring system and review suitable safety stock level. To work on introduction of new project with cross functional teams both internal and internationally within EEW business partner. Take responsibility for purchase of maintenance/engineering parts and others fabrication part. Maintaining department ISO documentation and implementation. Provide guidance, motivate and monitor staff performance to ensure company benefit is protected. Other tasks are given from time to time. Adhere to all the Quality/Safety & Environmental requirements.

Requirements:-

At least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Welding), Engineering (Indus-trial) or equivalent. A minimum of 0 to 3 years of relevant working experience is required for this position. Preferably Executives specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material or equivalent. Dynamic, self-motivated, initiative and able to communicate effectively with all levels. IT exposure is required. Excellent written and command in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong analytical skills, negotiating skills, attention to details and is target oriented. Independent yet able to contribute as a good team player.
