Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and carry out complex research projects, such as development of new products and testing methods. Direct technicians and other workers in testing and analysing components and the physical properties of materials. Do proper chemical processing and testing procedures, such as ingredients, blending/mixing times and operating temperatures. Prepare solutions, compounds, and reagents used in laboratory procedures. Conduct tests on materials and other substances, to ensure that safety and quality standards are met. Write and technical reports that detail methods and findings. Ensure all chemicals release to projects have been properly test and follow all procedure and QA requirements. Troubleshoot, clean and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Managing stocks and ensure minimum stock requirement are in place at all times. Perform related duties as required. Always have involvement in OSHMS and EMS progression, legal compliance, participation and communication in aid to foster a safe working environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or any Science or background. Experience working in lab will be an added advantage. Good command in English speaking, writing and reporting. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Meticulous and methodical nature and a logical mind. Good interpersonal and communications skills. Self-motivated, self-learner and able to work under pressure. Play pro-active role in problem solving, could analyzed problem or issues and provide solution. Could make fast and effective decision. Enthusiasm to be continually learning. At least attend training and courses related to safety programmers (OSHAMS/EMS). Willing to work in Port Klang Free Zone and Shah Alam. Have knowledge in ISO 9001/ ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
