Role Purpose:



Support the Deputy General Manager in developing, implementing, and achieving the sales business plan to attract clients to Desaru Coast. Sourcing and securing destination events in line with Desaru Coast's commercial direction. Support the development and implementation of strategic marketing and events partnerships across Desaru Coast, including active participation in relevant stakeholder meetings and event sponsorship/activation forums. To promote the positive image of the destination and ensure guests are provided with excellent customer service. Accurately create, update, and manage the client database to support targeted sales initiatives and effective client relationship management.

Assist Deputy General Manager / Sales Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department. Proactively identify, pursue, and secure high-profile events that align with Desaru Coast's commercial direction and brand positioning. Responsible for the preparation and execution of destination events and activities within Desaru Coast. Coordinates all aspects of events and serves as the main point of contact for clients. Conduct regular surveys to obtain data on customer needs, spending patterns, demographics, market trends, market intelligence, and other relevant data and to analyze and interpret the data Delivering events within the budget set, that meet overall client and management experience and expectations i.e. footfall, revenue Communicates and resolves problems effectively and in a timely manner with event organizers and ensure your immediate superior are being informed. Fosters and maintains contacts with a wide array of vendors to ensure consistent delivery of needed goods and services for conference and event programs. Ensures that all events comply with all government regulations and company's policies and procedures. Coverage on external events on evenings and weekends when necessary. To execute any other job requirements as assigned by the Superior.

Requirements:



Degree in Business Administration / Sales and related field. Certified training in Negotiation skills or any sales & marketing related training. At least 5 years of working experience in the similar capacity. Excellent verbal and written communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Able to multi-task and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment. Has sense of urgency, organised and attention to details.
