We are looking for a Junior IT Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of application-related projects within the banking domain. The role involves assisting in the delivery of core banking system enhancements, digital banking applications, regulatory compliance systems, and other IT application initiatives. The candidate will work closely with senior project managers, business analysts, and application development teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with banking standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the end-to-end project lifecycle for banking application projects, including initiation, planning, execution, testing, and closure.
Assist in creating project documentation such as project charters, requirement specifications, test plans, and post-implementation reviews.
Coordinate with application developers, testers, and business users to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Monitor application-related project deliverables and dependencies while updating project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence).
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and resolution for application enhancements and implementations.
Help ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, BNM, PCI-DSS) within application projects.
Prepare regular project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Participate in Agile ceremonies or Waterfall project meetings to capture updates and track action items.
Contribute to process improvement by identifying gaps in application delivery and suggesting enhancements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
1-2 years of experience in IT project coordination, application support, or software delivery (preferably in banking/financial services).
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
Familiarity with banking applications (e.g., Core Banking, Internet/Mobile Banking, Loan Origination, Payment Systems) is an advantage.
Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of databases, APIs, or cloud-based applications is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and exposure to project tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, ServiceNow).
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
