JUNIOR PROCESS (LAB) ENGINEER

Work Location: In person (On-site)

Main Tasks:

The Junior Process (Lab) Engineer will be responsible for conducting laboratory dipping using automated dipping robots for all glove types produced in MAPA Gloves manufacturing lines. The role focuses on:

Improving existing processes and products (defect reject rate, cycle time, glove performance). Validating new raw materials (latex, ingredients, textiles) aimed at enhancing cost efficiency or product performance. Participating in production-led KAIZEN teams to improve line productivity and reduce reject rates, including validating proposed parameter modifications in the lab before implementation on manufacturing lines.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Process Manager and Process Superintendent in maintaining and updating standard group documents (ISO 9001) related to line and off-line setting parameters (chlorination and post-cure). Support the Process Superintendent in managing the list of Process Department projects and KPI objectives. Measure and report the effectiveness of corrective and remedial actions (Kaizen teams + daily production meetings), including providing accurate lab-based feedback before trials on production lines. Conduct laboratory and manufacturing line experiments and perform product testing according to established protocols. Compile and analyze test data, draw conclusions, document results, and share findings using the ISO Quality System. Comply strictly with all HEC (Health, Environment, Safety) guidelines, report unsafe conditions/acts, and prioritize safety during all experiments.
Education Requirements:

Preferably a degree in Polymer Science or Chemistry, with glove manufacturing experience as an added advantage. Good knowledge of chemistry, polymers, and formulation; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Proficient in English (spoken and written) and computer literate.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
