This role leads the Dealer Management team and is responsible for driving both prepaid and postpaid business performance across the assigned region. The position involves spearheading sales operations, optimizing distributor performance, and implementing effective information systems and operational processes that enhance U Mobile's overall business contribution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Dealer Management
Manage and monitor distributor performance within the assigned region, ensuring effective portfolio management and business growth.
Provide system support to distributors, including network creation, modification, and termination.
Oversee dealership management to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance with company standards.
Review and approve dealership applications with sound justification and business rationale.
Sales Strategy & Channel Development
Plan, lead, execute, and monitor the effectiveness of indirect channel sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand U Mobile's market presence and touchpoints.
Strengthen dealer loyalty and engagement through prepaid and postpaid activation programs and initiatives.
Trade Marketing & Market Intelligence
Support trade marketing initiatives such as events, signage, POSM deployment, and pyramid performance tracking.
Ensure all POSM materials are up-to-date and aligned with ongoing campaigns.
Gather and analyze market intelligence to stay alert to competitive movements and market dynamics.
Training & Development
Conduct and ensure regular training for dealers and team members covering:

Accurate activations and control system proficiency
Product:
Comprehensive knowledge of product portfolio
Sales Techniques:
Accurate and effective selling approaches
Incentives/Pyramid:
Proper guidance to build dealer loyalty
POSM:
Awareness of the latest promotional and marketing materials
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, coach, and motivate the Dealer Management team to achieve sales and performance KPIs.
Drive effective communication, teamwork, and productivity across the regional sales function.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align operational goals and optimize resource utilization.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum
6 to 8 years of experience
in the telecommunications industry, with at least
5 years in a sales management role.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive and inspire a high-performing sales team.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
Willing to travel as required.
Candidate will be based in Central but must be willing to travel to Pahang, with approximately 50% of the time spent there. Travel and accommodation costs are claimable
