Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management & Planning
Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, strategies, market, and competitive landscape.
Build, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive Strategic Key Account plan, including a 3-5 year vision and short/medium-term objectives.
Create and implement a relationship management strategy to strengthen ties across all client functions and executive levels, managing supporters, blockers, and decision-makers.
Identify new business opportunities and lead internal collaboration to realize cross-functional growth.
Client Relationship & Value Creation
Craft and deliver client-focused strategies that create positive impact for the client and sustainable, profitable growth for the organization.
Act as the primary relationship manager, building and maintaining close relationships with key accounts through thorough account planning.
Create bundled solutions to meet expressed and tacit client needs, delivering real business value propositions.
Manage conflict at all levels, driving toward acceptable outcomes for all parties.
Internal Leadership & Collaboration
Effectively manage and coordinate a dynamic virtual Strategic Account Team, bringing in required skills as client needs evolve.
Maintain a close relationship with the account's Executive Sponsor and senior commercial leaders to maximize benefits and deliver on jointly agreed objectives.
Build cross-functional teams and leverage internal relationships to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Promote and communicate products and services to the client, arranging visits, presentations, and seminars as needed.
Commercial & Market Acumen
Develop clear commercial strategies that create true 'win-win' outcomes and lead to profitable account growth.
Monitor, report on, and disseminate insights from all client interactions and competitor activity.
Leverage market insights to understand the strategic context and changing landscape that may affect key account objectives.
Deploy effective negotiating and selling strategies both with the key account and internally.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
Significant experience in leading Key Accounts, including the development of account plans and strategies.
Demonstrable experience building and maintaining senior client relationships with a customer-focused mindset.
Proven ability to communicate, influence, and engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally, including at the C-suite level.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop strategic action plans.
Ability to understand complex situations, visualize solutions, and see them through to resolution.
Experience in creating and articulating strong business and financial value propositions.
Evidence of being the "Voice of the Customer," successfully interpreting and delivering on client needs.
Strong leadership skills with a sense of purpose and the ability to motivate and direct colleagues and virtual teams.
Ability to research and analyze market dynamics to determine required actions.
