Job Description


As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts. You will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of products to key accounts mainly in the private hospital settings, while analysing market trends.

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key pharmaceutical clients, understanding their needs and aligning company offerings to provide tailored solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate strategic account plans to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market share expansion, taking into account market trends and competitor activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and regulatory to ensure seamless communication and efficient execution of client projects and initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge and Presentation: Possess in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and services, and effectively communicate their value proposition to clients through presentations and discussions.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with clients while ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Market Insights and Analysis: Continuously monitor market dynamics, gather insights, and analyse data to identify opportunities for business growth, adapting strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Study background: Bachelor\'s degree or professional qualification, preferably with major in Life Science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 experience in sales in related areas in the pharmaceutical industry, experience in Specialty Care, Oncology, or Haematology would be an advantage
  • Have fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong Key Account management with high motivation to drive sales in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding strategic planning with the ability to develop actionable solutions and recommend sales strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
