The Commis chef is responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting food as per his given instructions according to the established standards.
1. Cooks, prepares and bakes food for guests and employee as per the standard recipes.
2. Guides subordinates in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
3. Follows the outlined standard and procedures precisely.
4. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming and presentation.
5. Ensures correct and safe use of all equipment, machinery and tools.
6. Always maintains high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen, storage, Fridge's and freezers.
7. Makes sure that all food items are received, checked and stored correctly.
8. Ensures that all the kitchen equipment is in good working order and reports any faults or damage.
9. Participates in on going training of subordinates.
10. Attends all scheduled training at his, her level.
11. Maintains a safe and secure working environment.
12. Initiates action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervise/managers of potential danger.
13. Adheres and ensures that all policies and procedures regulations are abided by hotel guidelines.
14. Works effectively to promote harmony and teamwork.
