Job Description

The Kitchen Helper / Commis Chef assists the kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals eager to learn culinary skills and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.) Help with basic cooking tasks as directed (e.g., making sauces, frying, grilling) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations Wash and clean kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times Receive and store deliveries of food supplies properly Dispose of waste and maintain a clean working environment Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Support senior kitchen staff in daily kitchen operations

Skills & Qualifications:



Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take direction Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Internship

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
