HR Advisory
Provide HR advice to jobholders and Line Managers based on local Terms and Conditions of Service, centrally published guidance, and in consultation with HR Direct
Conduct an annual review of the Terms and Conditions at Post in consultation with the Staff Advisory Group, the HR Hub and the Post\'s legal adviser
Keep abreast of any changes to the Malaysian Employment Law
Ensure completion of exit checklist for leavers
Sit on various governance committees to provide HR advice and support
Pay and Benefits
Provide support to the CSM on salary survey analysis, complete HR information returns to the Regional Hub and other stakeholders, as well as management information packs for the Post\'s governance board
Complete the monthly payroll adjustment report
Manage the medical insurance contract at Post including annual renewal tendering process, addition and removal of employees and supporting staff with queries
Recruitment and Induction
Work with HR Hub colleagues and hiring managers at Post, to support recruitment activities including: review of job descriptions, act as interview panel member as required, guide the successful candidate to complete HR and security procedures;
Continually develop the new starter induction including the induction pack and accompanying process
Provide supporting documentation for staff eg. letter to support visa applications, opening of bank accounts
Maintain and update personal files (both hard and electronic) for staff
Learning and Development
Act as Learning and Development Champion in close co-ordination with post\'s Learning and Development sponsor to strengthen post\'s learning culture
Support learning and development activities through identification of learning needs, management of the bidding process, advice on personal development plans and logistics support for any training held at Post
Performance Management
Lead the annual appraisal exercise ensuring correct processes and timelines are followed
Strengthen post\'s performance and development culture together with Deputy High Commissioner.
Other
Provide welfare support to country-based staff members
Lead on other HR projects as necessary
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Previous HR experience, excellent interpersonal skills, experience handling sensitive and personal information and issues
Language requirements:
