Klaviyo Email Specialist (freelance)

Malaysia, Malaysia

Job Description

Do you know the ins and outs of Klaviyo like the back of your hand?

Are you fascinated about the world of email marketing - from segmentation to reporting and deliverability optimization?

Does the idea of applying your skills to contribute to a $100M+ eCommerce brand growing at triple figure a year excite and scare you at the same time?

If this speaks to you, you may be the candidate we're looking for.

About our Company

We are a Singapore-based health and wellness brand serving over 1 million customers worldwide. In just 4 years, we have quietly grown from zero to $100M+ in annual revenue. We have 30 full-time team members, which is unheard of for a company of our size. But it's only possible because we have the right business model and team. Majority of our team is based in Singapore and we have a growing team of remote talents based in Canada, India, Malaysia, and Philippines.

Part 1: Klaviyo campaign and flow setup and management (1-2x a week)

  • Project coordination: Work with designers and copywriters to meet project and regular content production timelines. You will be assisted by the Marketing Project Coordinator to follow up with the respective team members if timelines are missed.
  • Quality assurance: Review emails to check for typos, grammatical errors, layout issues, and design improvements
  • Set up campaigns and flows with precise triggers, segmentations, and filters to send the right emails to the right people at the right time
  • Test new campaign and flow setups to verify and confirm specifications are met (audience, source code/format, working CTA links and design elements, correct CTA links)
  • Monitor new campaign and flow performance immediately and 24 hour after activation to verify and confirm specifications are met (audience, time, deliverability)
Part 2: Klaviyo list, segment, filter, and tag management (ad-hoc, as needed)
  • Implement standard naming convention and hold others accountable to use the same naming convention
  • Create segments as needed (e.g. Promos-specific audiences)
Part 3: Data reporting and analysis (2x a week)
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and performance of the email channel.
  • Analyze data and derive key insights to direct email marketing efforts. This involves slicing and dicing data in different ways daily. You will receive guidance to improve your analytical thinking skills
  • Meet once a week to discuss results + A/B test ideas for the next batch of campaigns
  • Coordinate split test idea implementation with copywriters and designers (i.e. brief them on Asana/Slack), then execute and measure results of the split test upon completion. The Marketing Project Coordinator will assist you with the follow-ups.
Part 4: Systems and process building (ad-hoc, as needed)
  • Review and update existing Email SOPs/process guides and checklists
  • Turn new processes into SOPs/process guides and checklists for future team members

  • Quality assurance: Review templates (share feedback to fix or apply hot fixes, if any) and prepare them for set-up

The Type Of Talent We're Looking To Work With

- People who want to be in the top 1% in their field. Committed to mastery and becoming an expert. Someone who has clarity in what they want and is willing to make sacrifices to be the best.

- Long term thinkers. Our typical arrangement is anywhere between 3-5 years or more for you to develop core skills and gain a certain level of mastery. If you're looking for a short term stint to learn and go, this is not for you. Only serious applicants will be considered.

- No-drama professional talents. We have an extremely supportive and positive culture. As a company, we've worked hard to preserve this culture and have created a space that is safe to try, test and fail without judgement.

- People who want to create something big. Our plans have been ambitious and every time we set a big goal, we buckle down and figure out a way to hit it. This has been done for 3 years straight. Each goal, bigger than the next. You WILL be uncomfortable when such fast growth is expected. However if you manage to persevere, you will build an extremely resilient mindset that can handle the toughest challenges.

- Strong work ethic. While the days of working 12-14 hour days are behind us, many of our young talents put extra time into researching, learning and executing tests outside of the typical 8 hour work day. This has helped them rise quickly and take on lead roles in as fast as 6 months.

Benefits

How We're Growing With Great People

+ Creating The Right Environment For Growth

It's not everyday that you get to work with an eCommerce brand that sells globally with thousands of new customers a day. This kind of fast-paced environment challenges talents to be at their best in terms of skills, mindset and management. You will play a part in designing the infrastructure for a 9 figure eCommerce business. A rare opportunity for people who love a challenge.

+ We Care About Your Outcomes/ Goals

On top of that, we provide mentoring and guidance. We believe that learning and growing never stops for anyone. The best way to learn is if you have someone (a mentor or peer) to help you see the "big picture" and make more effective decisions. It's invaluable to have a team that cares what happens to you.

+ Resources For Learning And Growing

Beyond this, if there is relevant training that our team members can attend to grow themselves, we are more than happy to provide. We invest thousands of dollars into programs and consultations with REAL experts. Not many companies believe in investing as heavily as we do into our talents. We believe it's a must to continuously reinvest in our people.

+ Team Structure

We have a flat hierarchy where ideas from everyone are valued. We do not operate on seniority or experience alone. We make decisions that drive towards our goals and we chase our goals as a team.

+ Career Progression

Our progression structure is based on merit, contribution and performance. Some might move faster while others require time. It's purely up to the individual how fast they want to grow. We guide and create opportunities that fit your goals.
