To clean and sanitize laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces regularly.
Stock and organize laboratory supplies and chemicals.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of laboratory materials and reagents.
Dispose of hazardous materials following proper disposal guidelines.
Prepare and set up experiments as per the instructions provided by the Chemist or supplier.
Assist in data collection and recording of experimental results.
Monitor experiments and alert the chemist to any issues or irregularities.
Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental data.
Operate laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pipettes, etc. following established protocols.
Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Label, store, and prepare samples for analysis or experimentation.
Handle biological, chemical, or physical specimens according to safety guidelines.
Follow safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and disposing of hazardous waste properly.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the chemist/supervisor.
Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records, including data, procedures, and observations.
Assist in preparing reports and summaries of experimental findings.
Collaborate with chemist/researcher to document methodologies and results.
Collaborate with chemists/researchers on ongoing projects.
Assist in literature reviews, background research, and data analysis.
Communicate effectively with team members, chemists and researchers.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.
To understand and maintain QMS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
In addition to the roles and responsibilities, employees always have to take care of the safety and health of self and other employee in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 1994 Section 24 PART VI GENERAL DUTIES OF EMPLOYEES.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT
Diploma/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Science/Biology/Chemistry or an equivalency;
Fresh graduate or minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar field.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficiency with computers and scientific equipment;
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills;
Good presentation, documentation, and reporting skills;
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and practices.
Basic understanding of scientific principles and laboratory techniques.
Physical ability to lift and carry laboratory equipment and supplies.
