Job Description

JOB PURPOSE The incumbent is to carry out the day-to-day maintenance activities containing scientific apparatus, laboratory supplies/glassware and experimental practical/projects. KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES . Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic . Dusting and wiping of lab equipment, tables/workbenches, models and trolleys using rags. . Scrubs shelves, racks, tables, work benches and sinks using cleaning solutions and brushes. . Washing, rinsing, drying of lab glassware and utensils. . Rearranging of glassware and utensils at the designated cabinet/place after drying. . Checking and refilling of soap dispenser, detergent/wash bottles and distilled water containers. . To assist in the basic setup of practical for examinations. . To assist and perform other duties as and when required, MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION PMR or SPM RELATED EXPERIENCE Preferably at least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in an educational institution COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES) . Ability to communicate comfortably with students and staff in a courteous and professional manner . Ability to work with minimal supervision . Possess a good command of English . Possess good planning, coordinating, managing and time management skills . Resourceful, customer focused, self-motivated and result oriented COMPETENCIES (BEHAVIOURAL) .
