Supervise and coordinate all laboratory activities including sample collection, testing, and reporting.
Ensure accurate analysis of:
Process losses (e.g., oil losses in fibre, shell, and effluent)
Boiler water quality
Raw water and effluent quality
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly lab reports to management.
Implement and uphold safety, hygiene, and environmental protocols in the lab.
Train and guide lab assistants and junior staff.
Monitor stock levels of lab consumables and request replenishment as needed.
Liaise with relevant departments to support operational efficiency and compliance.
Address and resolve minor disciplinary issues among lab staff, ensuring smooth team dynamics.
Qualifications & Experience
Having a minimum of 5 years experience in carrying out day to day Laboratory Operation
Minimum SPM and above; Diploma in Science or related field is an advantage.
Knowledge in Process Losses Analysis, Boiler Water Quality, Raw Water Quality, and Effluent Quality.
Having knowledge and experience in handling labour issue, discipline and supervising skill.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory operations, preferably in a Palm Oil Mill.
Willing to be based at and reside at the Palm Oil Mill in
Tungku, Lahad Datu, Sabah
