To make use of geographical information systems (GIS) to analyse and interpret site features (topography, elevation, hydrology etc).
Undertake digital mapping of estates and to convert paper-based maps to digital-based maps.
Produce, provide and to analyse data from a range of sources such as aerial photography and satellite surveys.
Calculating the measurements of sites & writing descriptions of property boundaries.
Liase and assist the plantation operation department on survey matters which include but is not limited to verification of measurement and confirmation of block hectarage, drainage and roads system.
Conduct ground and aerial survey at new potential land development areas.
Responsible for the design of the infrastructure layout which includes alignment of block, terraces, roads and drainage system at new development areas.
Responsible for issuing the survey certificate for payment purposes.
Researching legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify information about property boundaries.
Supervise and provide guidance to field staff.
To carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Surveyor or other similar role.
At least 5 years of hands-on as a Surveyor in the related industry.
Working knowledge of GPS and GIS.
Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software is preferred.
Aptitude in math and problem-solving.
Good command of spoken & written in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Experience in Plantation industry or agriculture sector would be an advantage.
Able to travel to the Regional Offices / Estates from time-to-time.
