Job Description


:

The Land Surveyor for the project is responsible for conducting surveys to gather accurate and comprehensive information about the project site\'s topography, boundaries, and other relevant data. This information is essential for the successful planning, design, and implementation of biomass energy projects.

\xef\xbb\xbfResponsibilities

  • Site Surveys: Conduct thorough surveys of the project site using various surveying equipment and techniques, such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners, to obtain precise measurements of land features, including elevation, contours, boundaries, and existing infrastructure.
  • Boundary Identification: Determine and verify property boundaries, easements, and rights-of-way to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to prevent any encroachments on neighboring properties.
  • Mapping and Data Analysis: Create accurate and detailed maps, drawings, and reports based on survey data. Analyze collected data to provide valuable insights for project planning and design.
  • Environmental Considerations: Identify and assess environmental factors, such as wetlands, streams, and protected areas, that may impact project development. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Construction Support: Collaborate with project engineers and architects to provide surveying support during the design and construction phases. Verify that construction activities adhere to approved plans and specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of the surveying team and other project personnel while working in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability in data collection.
  • Legal Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of survey data, field notes, and legal documents related to property boundaries and easements.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate survey findings and recommendations to project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, environmental consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • land surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional land surveyor (PLS) licensure or the ability to obtain licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to land surveying and property boundaries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Position will be based in Johor - Malaysia
  • Able to take on 2 years contract.
