You will be a part of the Compliance and Approvals Team. We remove the barriers to accessing markets to make sure that Dyson products are met the regulations and standards. We are responsible for ensuring that all Dyson products comply with all relevant regulations, standards and legislation in over 90 countries. We use internationally recognised standards to demonstrate compliance as well as country or region-specific standards.

About the role

This role has regulatory affairs responsibilities include define regulatory compliance strategy, product submissions for New Product Development and Sustaining activities as assigned by the reporting manager. The role will require the oversight and management of legacy / New Product Introduction product registration projects such as license renewals, periodic updates and registrations to regulatory agencies, quality system compliance and audits, post market support (regulatory reporting), and continuous process improvement project involvement.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare and submit regulatory documents, provide guidance on regulatory strategies, and monitor changes in regulations that impact our products.

Accountabilities:

Ensure that the product requirements within their own disciplines, as applicable to Dyson products and target markets, is obtained, evaluated and maintained

Ensure that the project information and compliance requirements within their own design projects are verified as correct and accurate, using the methods agreed within the Team

Ensure such information is made available in a timely manner and agreed format to the other groups of the Team, as applicable, to enable them to steer research, new technology development and final design

Understand the risks associated with product design and how this impacts compliance and support the senior members of the team in managing and mitigating risks

May represent Dyson externally with direction agreed by the team

May have a direct and decisive influence in standards making activities within own disciplines

Contribute and participate to the Team internal reviews process, when required

Identify and/or evaluate areas for improvement in Project delivery activities and lead the implementation of the agreed solutions

Mentor Team members that require development to and within the Lead C&A Engineer role

Own/contribute to Team/department level initiatives & change projects

Participate in recruitment activity

About you

Degree or equivalent experience in electrical/electronic discipline

At least 5 years\' experience on a broad range of Product Safety Compliance duties

Understanding of International Safety standards such as IEC, UL, GB and EN

Being able to identify the true cause of problems and to apply the required analytical skills in order to solve them efficiently.

Advanced knowledge of and sound understanding of regulatory and technical standards principles

Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant technical disciplines

Knowledge & understanding of different avenues of intelligence gathering and intelligence services providers

Have advanced understanding of regulations and standards developments and may have a direct influence at making them or contribute to the development

Ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate with the work of others

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
