Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Rotating) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Skills / Qualifications

Candidate must have a recognized B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar education background with at least twelve (15) year\xe2\x80\x99s experience Oil and Gas industry and experience in large rotating equipment such as compressor. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project (including FEED and detail design engineering), dealing with all types of mechanical rotating equipment. Experience in operation and maintenance is an added advantage. Candidate must have a least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in lead position.

The below area of expertise and experience is required, but not limited to:

• Lead the preparation, selection, optimization and evaluation of the mechanical rotating packages for greenfield and brownfield development projects
• Has experience working with gas engine driven gas compressor, gas turbine driven compressor, gas turbine generator and diesel engine generator.
• Candidate is responsible to lead a team with comprehension of project scope, prepare MDR, provide input to project schedule, provide progress update, oversee and review team\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables and manage discipline manhours
• Lead the preparation and evaluation of the package/equipment specification and datasheet for Gas compressor package, Gas Turbine package, large internal gas engine and diesel engines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps
• Use of applicable codes, standards and good practices. Aware on the local regulatory requirements.
• Selection and review of instrumentation, control and monitoring systems related to the mechanical rotating equipment
• Participation and involvement in HAZOP, HAZID and RAM studies
• Well verse on the operation and maintenance aspects for the mechanical rotating
• equipment. Selection and recommendation on the spare parts based on the adopted operation and maintenance philosophy
• Should be able to work in team environment and interface with other discipline.
