Scope of Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out engineering work for large sized assigned projects. Assuming entire responsibility for conceptual and detailed design and provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.
• Support all process department activities, such as identifying process department problems, proposing methods to improve implementation and execution of projects.
• Lead multiple projects as required, ensuring delivery of all aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement to cost, schedule and quality criteria.
• Ensure technical integrity of assigned projects run by senior engineers by approving, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation and providing technical support.
• Provide technical support, training and guidance to Senior Process engineers and Process Engineers across all assigned project.
• Administer and implement Company/Client/Project policies and procedures in all assigned projects.
• Act as technical consultant for company/clients on specialist topics.
• Undertake staff appraisals of discipline personnel in assigned projects.
• Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant codes and standards.
• Assign to client for any project requirement.
• Perform vendor data review and incorporate details into the design document as necessary for assigned projects.
• Perform technical bid evaluation as and when required for assigned projects..

Requirement

A recognized degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field. Registered as a professional engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia or Institute of Engineers Malaysia or other board of professional engineers with Ir. recognized by BEM or IEM. Minimum 15 years experience in engineering design of projects in oil & gas industry.
