Reporting to the Sr. Director, Services & Connectivity - APAC, the Services & Connectivity Lead Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and driving the sales of Honeywell\'s airtime services, Ka Band JetWave connectivity hardware and Aspire cockpit connectivity hardware to APAC BGA operators/management companies and airlines. Responsibilities of APAC S&C sales team range from driving the sales of Honeywell airtime services, to promoting the advantages of JetWave and Aspire directly to APAC BGA operators/management companies and airlines, as well as coordinating with Inmarsat/ViaSat and the VARs on specific opportunities.

In addition, utilizing business acumen, creativity, technical and market knowledge, APAC S&C sales team acts as the primary liaison between the Regional Aftermarket Organizations and the Services and Connectivity Strategic Business Unit (SBU), GBE, Engineering and other functions, to assist in JetWave and Aspire product strategies, product positioning, communications, pricing strategies, go-to-market strategies and value propositions.

Specific Responsibilities:

Promote and drive sales of Honeywell airtime services, JetWave and Aspire for both retrofit and line-fit opportunities as follows:

  • Drive Honeywell airtime services sales and achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Develop and deliver credible and persuasive presentations on the advantages and differentiators of JetWave/Global Xpress connectivity and Aspire over competing solutions.
  • Train APAC BGA, airlines and OE sales team on the key messages/elevator speech for JetWave/Global Xpress and Aspire.
  • Working with the Product Line Director(s) and MARCOMM, create and refresh sales toolkits, including presentations, value propositions, FAQs, white papers, etc. to ensure that the airlines and OE sales team have powerful and up to date materials at their disposal.
  • Use Salesforce to keep information on individual pursuits up to date and closely track trends within the market to assure a regular cadence of customer communication is maintained.
  • Form strong relationships with the regional sales representatives from Inmarsat and the VARs and work collaboratively and creatively to win.
  • Work closely with other sales team members within the region to leverage broader products and services, as appropriate, to secure JetWave and Aspire wins.
  • Work with the Sales Excellence team to ensure necessary enablers are in place for sales effectiveness and velocity, such as sales competency assessments, new hire training, sales incentive plan, pre-approved pricing, Salesforce related items, etc.
  • Regular engagement with senior management at APAC BGA operators/management companies, airlines and OEs as well as frequent internal Honeywell meetings / briefings
  • Provide input to AOP and STRAP process.
  • The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of significant accomplishments in IFEC or passenger & cockpit connectivity sales or business development in the aerospace industry.
YOU MUST HAVE (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s Degree (industry equivalent qualification plus demonstrated experience in sales considered)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling or marketing cabin & cockpit connectivity hardware or related products to airlines
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of connectivity products and services and associated value propositions
  • Good understanding of alternative products and services in the passenger connectivity market
WE VALUE (Additional Qualifications)
  • BGA experiences is a plus
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of IFE and/or avionics systems, ideally in the context of passenger connectivity and connected aircraft
  • Develop and foster strong relationships: Establish credibility and trust through meeting commitments and exhibiting a social and affable demeanor with an ability to communicate
