WE ARE LOOKING FOR Responsible to ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Integrated Reporting Finance or other parties within AIA Group requiring Group Investment information timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations. Provide timely support of the Group's financial reporting functions (such as day to day accounting function, financial statements preparation, provide support to local business units on financial reporting related tasks). Roles and responsibilities: Review and consolidate submissions from local business units for various external and internal reporting requirements including IFRS, HKIO, HKFRS, Bermuda, management reporting and Group Investment-related reporting. Ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Group Office timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations. Review the analytical review prepared by Specialist/Peer on financial reporting deliverables submitted by local business units. Ensure information received from the local business units complies with Group standards for both financial and management reporting. Prepare analytical review and other financial reporting deliverables for IFRS, HKIO, Bermuda, management reporting and Group Investment-related reporting. Support Group Office and local business units on relevant Group financial reporting and analysis matters by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries to enable business decisions. Support various Group financial reporting related initiatives and coordinate with various departments in Group Office and local business units in rolling out the initiatives. Support the Manager to develop and recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders in relation to Group Investment-related deliverables and analysis, financial statements and related areas. Assist in projects for any development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls and functionally changes to existing systems in relation to Group Investment-related templates and financial statements to improve current processes, controls and overall effectiveness of the team. Responsible to update Group Investment-related Business Process Manuals, Control Checklist and Training Materials as and when new enhancement identified, implemented and communicated, and at least on an annual basis. Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet financial reporting and/or other requirements. Communication requirements: Day-to-Day communication including teleconference and written communication with various departments in Group Office and local business units Internal parties within AIA Shared Services Sdn Bhd: 1. GFS - Investment Accounting team on information needed for Group Investment reporting and analysis. 2. SAPCOE Solution architects and support team on system issues and enhancements (e.g. SAP-AO reports, BPC system, and etc.) 3. Other various departments' team members for any matters related to Group Financial Reporting Unit External including AIA Group of companies and other parties: 1. Integrated Reporting Finance - Group Investment team in HK on any investment accounting-related matters as they are overseeing the Group Investment reporting and analysis. 2. Integrated Reporting Finance - Reporting team in HK on Group Investment reporting and analysis, IFRS, HKIO and Bermuda templates and analysis submission. 3. Office of Accounting Policy team in HK for discussion on accounting technical matters and updates of accounting policies. 4. Local Finance teams within Asia Pacific on matters relating to Group Investment reporting and analysis, IFRS, HKIO and Bermuda templates and analysis. 5. Group and Local Investment Operation team on matters relating to Group Investment reporting and analysis. 6. External and internal auditors for audit meetings and audit field work. Job requirements: Degree holder in Accountancy with professional qualification in ACCA or equivalent Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big- accounting firm 2 + years of supervisory or management experience in the above position Experience in financial reporting Experience with insurance and financial services industries preferred Knowledge of IFRS especially IFRS 9 preferred Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of systems e.g. SAP / BPC preferred Ability to work well under tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent PC skills especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Fluency in both written and spoken English
