Lead Specialist - IT Systems Engineering

We will count on you to:

• Provide detailed solution designs that are inline with our technology standards consisting of multi tiered architectures
• Ensure that all designs are secure by design and see these through the relevant security approvals
• Keep stakeholders informed and manage expectations
• Detail customer requirements and turn them into excellent solution designs, with an eye for detail and the ability to identify and remediate risk.
• Have the ability to input into investment strategy for both infrastructure & architecture being able to advise the customers on the total cost of ownership.
• You will act as the sole Solution Design/ Infrastructure Architect point of contact for key projects and be used to working in complex & multi-locational global environments.
• Own and enforce a consistent approach to infrastructure solution design within the domain.
• Own and author/assure cross-domain solution designs and supporting documentation, independently and with minimal oversight
• Provide technical/solution oversight during the development, test and implementation of change, to ensure delivery in line with requirements and design
• Additionally design and operational experience with AWS, Azure and OCI is advantageous.

What you need to have:

• Degree holder in Computer Science or a course in similar.
• 10+ years of experience in System Engineering or a role that is similar to it.
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience authoring low-level, detailed designs from conceptualization to delivery
• Ability to create/Design an Infrastructure for Application Deployment.
• The ability to learn new technology concepts and apply this knowledge to the projects you are working on
• Applying technical strategy in complex business contexts, using patterns, standards and guidance
• Experience of translating technical concepts and issues so they can be understood by all stakeholders
• Practical working knowledge of modern cloud-first architectures, and how to build applications to take advantage of the opportunities they offer
• The ability to be able to work on multiple projects at any one time is a must, engineers often have many projects on the go
