Job Description

Designation: Lecturer



Role Brief:

Responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, and student support while contributing to curriculum development, departmental administration, faculty initiatives, and professional engagement to ensure student success and uphold academic standards.

Main Responsibilities



1. Train the other lecturers

2. Teach, manage and conduct face-to-face, online, or any other teaching methods deemed appropriate as directed by the Faculty/School.

3.Communicate and engage with students to provide support on academic, career and personal development matters.

4. Facilitate the delivery of courses to students in the role of Course Leader.

5. Develop and prepare curricular, course plans, learning materials, assignments and activities for students' learning.

6.Undertake monitoring and assessment of students' course works and maintain up-to-date and accurate records of their progress and achievement.

7. Upload, monitor and update learning materials and assessment in UNIEC VIRTUAL for all assigned courses.

8. Liaise with tutors at the regional centres to monitor the progress of each course at the centres and for quality control purposes.

9. Liaise with external parties and industry practitioners to provide industry relevant content and delivery of course module to the students.

10. Prepare, review and moderate multiple sets of Final Exam questions for all assigned course, both for non-modular and modular program.

11. Mark and moderate exam papers under course leadership and those assigned by the faculty within the set deadline.

12. Key in exam marks into the system, verify and prepare exam report and course performance report to be tabled during Board of Examiners meeting.

13. Undertake research/scholarly activities and the supervision of students' research and placements as appropriate.

14.Participate and contribute in the design and delivery of the programmes in the Faculty.

15. Identify and develop new module which include preparing TOC's and other relevant documents.

16. Participate and assist in the preparation of documents for the purpose of submission to accreditation bodies (e.g., MQA).

17. Contribute to the development of new approaches to teaching and learning.

18. Contribute to the review of learning programmes and to the implementation of quality improvement action plans, as part of the University quality framework.

19. Liaise and engage with other departments within the University on matters pertaining to teaching and learning.

20. Attend meetings, training, briefing and other relevant events related to the fulfilment of the main job as a lecturer.

21. Invigilate examinations as and when appointed.

22. Participate in promotional and marketing events as required.

23. Other duties assigned by the Dean, Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Management from time to time.

SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



Master Degree with less than two years of teaching experience Passion and dedication to teaching Good organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Strong written and spoken communication skills Leadership and motivating ability Able to use the different Microsoft Office applications Excellent research skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 50 per week
