JOB SUMMARY

The academic is expected to make significant contributions to their field, typically recognized at the national level. Through research and scholarly activity, the individual will produce original work that advances knowledge or practice within their discipline. They will also provide leadership, demonstrate expertise in their subject area, and effectively coordinate academic programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant professional experience from a recognized institution. Registration with the relevant professional body, where applicable. Doctoral degree (preferably research-based) in a relevant field from a recognized institution. Outstanding academic performance from pre-university through to doctoral level. Deep knowledge in relevant sub-disciplines or areas of specialization. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. A track record of scholarly publications in reputable journals, conference proceedings, and/or books. Experience in curriculum design, development, and academic program administration. Demonstrated experience supervising postgraduate students, including doctoral candidates. Proven involvement in consultancy and training services. Active participation in collaborative research with fellow academics. Recognition at the national and/or international level within the academic field. Professional recognition in the relevant domain at national and/or international levels. Record of innovation, including copyrights, patents, or academic entrepreneurship. Experience in strategic planning and academic leadership. Ability to mentor and motivate academic colleagues effectively. Demonstrated ability to identify research opportunities and secure external funding. Strong skills in building collaborative partnerships with universities, government agencies, professional bodies, and industry stakeholders.
