Join Sandoz today as the Legal Counsel for Asia Cluster where you will be responsible to provide effective legal counsel to assigned business functions or teams within a number of countries in the Asia Cluster for Sandoz, acting as a legal advisor and business partner, negotiating contracts, managing litigation and providing counselling on substantive area legal issues. To act independently in complex legal matters and transactions, for example Licensing and Divestment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner in all activities relating to the contractual negotiations and company\'s statutory obligations by substantiating recommendations and providing legal advice and assistance to the senior legal counsels/Head Legal.
• Draft basic transactions and contracts independently.
• Advise and assists management decision-making regarding contract and other risks relating to business activities and provides potential solutions.
• Manage disputes and litigation and/or investigations domestically and/or in collaboration with global teams.
• Manage relationships and monitors the work of outside counsel and legal experts. -Manage and support activities regarding compliance issues, such as anti-trust and regulatory.
• Partner and liaise with external local counsels.
• Participate in the development, recommendation and implementation of legal policies, procedures and guidelines.

Minimum requirements

What you\'ll bring to the role:

• University degree in Law and must be called to Bar / is a qualified lawyer in Malaysia.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in law firms or legal department in matrixed organisation as a legal generalist with legal knowledge and experience related to more than one topic.
• Fluent in English, Fluency in Vietnamese or Thai will be an added advantage.
• Experience or background in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry will be preferred.
• Ability to manage stakeholders independently and good problem-solving skills.
