Assume the role of a counsel to business and senior management to ensure alignment with company goals and mitigation of potential legal risks.
Management of external panel of lawyers including optimisation of cost via outsourcing and effective management of in-house legal resources
Providing general legal advice to support business and operations from a legal perspective, including providing trainings to employees on legal matters as required
Coordinate legal reporting mechanisms within the legal division and business departments
Sharing of knowledge and updates affecting the legal environment that will impact the business
Conducting legal research and incorporating good practices
Harmonising regional/global policies and localising/customising legal policies/procedures
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements
Encourage a culture of governance to ensure entity-level awareness and appreciation of maintaining balance between legal risks and revenue/profit growth

Track record of advising internal or external clients/stakeholders in addressing legal issues and matters
Legal degree from a recognised/accredited university is compulsory. Postgraduate qualifications or Professional credentials will be highly desired (Both in the Legal or Commercial / Business domain)
Minimum 3 years of PQE (Remuneration and Banding will be accorded based on overall experience)
Strong balance of both legal and commercial acumen
Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
Demonstrated experience in the related scope of responsibilities will be an added advantage. Partial exposure is negotiable depending on willingness to learn
