As a Legal Counsel (IT) in the FMCG industry, you will provide expert legal advice and support to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business units, with a strong focus on procurement activities, supplier engagements, and contributing strategic legal insight to key business initiatives.
Support a wide range of corporate legal and compliance matters, including collaboration with the Business Integrity & Compliance team on initiatives related to AI, cybersecurity, strategic programs, communications, and risk management across IP, data protection, and regulatory domains.
Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial contracts such as global master service agreements, SaaS and cloud service contracts, licensing agreements, PoCs, outsourcing arrangements, intra-group agreements, and NDAs.
Proactively identify and manage legal risks in IT-related operations-particularly in areas involving intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance-while advising on dispute resolution and contract termination strategies.
Deliver strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders across IT, Procurement, Finance, and Tax to ensure effective oversight and management of supplier and vendor relationships.
Design and conduct legal training sessions for DBS and procurement teams, covering best practices in negotiation, contracting procedures, risk mitigation, and legal process alignment.
Market Leader Hybrid working arrangement
Legally qualified in England or an equivalent jurisdiction, with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, gained at a top-tier national or international law firm or as in-house counsel for a global corporation. Experience within the technology or telecommunications sector is preferred.
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong legal drafting capabilities.
Highly adaptable and technologically proficient, with a strong ability to learn and work with legal technology tools and digital platforms to enhance legal service delivery and efficiency.
Professional credentials or demonstrated expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, or artificial intelligence (AI) are a distinct advantage.
