Reporting to the Head of Legal \xe2\x80\x93 Lazada Malaysia, you will be:

• Advising on the structuring and implementation of a broad range of e-commerce solutions (platform and logistics), conducting related legal research, and following up with solutions proposal and implementation.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts, including customer facing terms, marketing and technology agreements, supply and service agreements, and intellectual property licensing agreements.
• Providing day-to-day legal support on operational matters, including advising and responding on issues relating to intellectual property, consumer protection, data privacy, regulatory matters, IT security, payments, counterparty disputes, HR matters etc.
• Assisting with operating license applications and regulatory filings, and in dealing with regulators.
• Supporting the implementation of Group-wide legal compliance programs, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Conducting legal trainings as necessary.
• All other relevant in-house legal department work.

• A keen interest in e-commerce related legal issues, and a strong professional ethic.
• An excellent knowledge of the law, and strong drafting and communication skills.
• In legal-speak, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone called to the Malaysian Bar, with a minimum of 5-8 years relevant professional experience. Experience in trade, corporate/commercial, TMT, IP, data privacy, M&A, and/or consumer protection related issues is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in fast-evolving and dynamic industries, such as technology or e-commerce, is preferred but not mandatory.
