i. Closely liaising with project engineers and managers in 01. understanding the cost implementation of variation works and issuing correspondences to Client in notifying and supporting the necessity of variation works in the project in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 02. understanding the overall work programme of the project and notifying the Client on any possible delays that may hinder the progress of the works in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 03. identifying delays from sub-contractors and issuing notices on project setbacks in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 04. issuing applications for extension of time to Client supported with the relevant documentations in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 05. issuing notices to Client on expected and/or delayed payments in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 06. issuing notices to suppliers on expected and/or delayed delivery in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement; 07. issuing notices for project handover in reference to the applicable law and/or contract agreement and 08. Other required correspondences to safeguard the interest of the company. ii. Attending physical and online meetings with project engineers, managers, and Clients, and to report to the relevant party on the outcome and/or action required based on said meetings; iii. Preparing legal opinion on contractual matters supported by case laws, current practices, and contract agreement. (For example: what is the essence of a lump sum contract); iv. Preparing legal opinion on letter of award and agreements to safeguard the interest of the company which shall include but not limited to liaising with Client and/or sub-contractor on negotiating favorable contractual terms prior to the commencement of the project; v. Preparing bespoke agreement and/or review of rental agreements which shall not be limited to rental of machineries and staff accommodation; vi. Preparing bespoke agreement between sub-contractors and other relevant parties; vii. Liaison with legal firms on any litigation, adjudication, and/or arbitration matters which shall include review of documents to be furnished by The company and documents prepared by legal firms prior to submission; viii. Providing advise and research on corporate matters which shall include but not limited to company expansion and exploration of new industries. ix. Reviewing Bank Guarantees and Insurances and monitoring their expiration dates so as to timely make the relevant extensions. x. Undertaking other duties and responsibilities delegated from time to time.
