*PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Successful candidates are to commence immediately (duration of 3-6 months preferred) As an intern/paralegal in our firm, you will typically be assisting the partners, legal associates, legal manager, pupils and other members of the firm with their daily tasks, such as conducting research, drafting legal documents, attending client meetings (with/without supervision), preparing cause papers etc. You will be given ample opportunities to learn practical skills, knowledge of the legal industry, gain experience on various aspects in a law firm i.e. marketing. content-creating etc. Your success as an intern in a law firm involves demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, negotiation skills, excellent communication skills and so on. Interns who are proactive in seeking out tasks and opportunities to learn and contribute to the firm\'s growth are highly valued. The role of an intern in a law firm plays a significant role in the firm\'s overall success, as it provides a pipeline for identifying and developing talent for future legal professionals. Additionally, interns can contribute and provide support to the firm\'s day-to-day operations. Overall, the role of an intern is essential in helping law firms achieve our goals while providing valuable learning experiences to aspiring legal professionals. Responsibilities (non-exhaustive) Attending to telephone calls; Responding to emails; Conducting legal research; Drafting legal documents, letters, cause papers etc.; Attending client meetings (with/without supervision); Visiting governmental/non-governmental departments to obtain information etc.; Assisting with filing of cause papers; Upkeeping case files; Perform administrative tasks; Develop and apply legal knowledge and skills in daily operation; Collaborate with colleagues; and Maintain professional demeanor at all times. Qualifications/Skills (non-exhaustive) Currently on semester break (preferably 3 months and above)/Law degree graduate/Part-time law student/CLP candidate; Strong academic record Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (ability to converse and/or write in Mandarin is a plus) Proficient in Microsoft Word; Ability to conduct legal research using legal research platforms e.g. LexisAdvance, CLJLaw etc.; Attention to detail; Time management and organizational skills; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team; Professionalism and strong work ethic; Familiarity with non-law related softwares/platforms is a plus e.g. Canva, Photoshop & Video editing softwares etc.; and Prior experience or internships in a law firm is a plus
