This includes support in relation to review and drafting of transactional and product documentation. This role reportsto the Head of Legal. Key Responsibilities: Providing sound legal advice, guidance and support to various business and operational units within the Bank. Reviewing and drafting various documentation - commercial contracts, loan documentation, product, marketing collaterals, etc. Active project support through provision of legal advice. To add value through analytical review of available information and make well-considered recommendations To multitask effectively when meeting with conflicting deadlines and multiple demands. If required, to represent Legal Department as a member of working groups where legal representation is required. To ensure well-considered opinions are rendered so as to ensure the organization\'s interests are protected from a legal perspective. To provide guidance and awareness to the operating units on potential legal issues. Job Requirements: Malaysian citizen A law graduate from a reputable university with at least 10 years PQE and with solid experience in general practice with an established legal firm in Malaysia handling portfolios in any one or more relevant areas such as banking, conveyancing, corporate finance or restructuring and/or in-house corporate counsel with working knowledge in related areas of banking and financial services in Malaysia. Must have a strong academic record with good analytical and research skills as well as a keen eye for detail. Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Factors for Success: Effective communicator and applies a commercially savvy approach to legal matters. Independent self-starter and team player with good interpersonal skills willing to cover a broad spectrum of work and to assist in establishing improved processes. Strong commercial sense and ability to make practical evaluations of risks.
