Job Scope

• To provide sound legal advice and support to the Company according to the updated Laws in Malaysia.
• To protect the interests of the Company and minimising risk to the Company.
• Ensuring the Company\xe2\x80\x99s compliance with relevant and updated statutory and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct necessary research on relevant statutes, contracts, case law and industry practice for the purpose of advising the Management to ensure that the Company\xe2\x80\x99s rights and interest are protected.
• Monitor all aspects related to existing contracts including all contractual obligations, validity, expiry and renewal of contract.
• Drafting contracts and negotiating terms of contract.
• Conduct due diligence on contracting parties.
• Monitor and ensure fulfilment of all statutory obligations by the Company.
• Maintain good rapport with regulatory and enforcement agencies through regular engagements.
• Responsible for drafting Tender documents and contract.
• Implement compliance with all applicable policy and procedural requirements at all stages.
• Assess and study all circumstances for dispute to produce successful settlement.
• Propose best possible approaches towards settlement and dispute.
• Attend negotiation sessions to convey offer for settlement on behalf of the Management.
• Responsible to issue Notice of Demand from Debtors.
• Advise the Management regarding compliance with any order from the government of Malaysia specific to the occurrence of the crisis.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Values

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree.
• 5 years of corporate law and telecommunications industry experience.
• Substantial mastery of communication (internal and external), language (both Malay and English), analytical, problem-solving, articulation, negotiation, training and managerial skills.
• Considerable drive, objectivity, prudence, tact, wit, eye for detail, big picture perspective, creativity, insightfulness, resourcefulness, perseverance, endurance and humility.
