Why does this job exist and why is it critical?\xe2\x80\x8b

• Draft, review and negotiate procurement technology contracts with vendors, service providers and business partners for goods and services in particular network equipment, IT systems, platforms and software;
• Support the continuous improvement of procurement contract templates and internal contracting processes;

• Able to balance legal issues against commercial requirements to facilitate pragmatic legal advisory while ensuring Maxis\xe2\x80\x99 interests are protected while compliance with law is observed
• Being innovative in the use of technology to simplify and improve the provision of legal services to the business
• Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry.

What do you need to have for this role?Degree in Law (LLB)

• Minimum 10-12 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience post being called to the Bar with at least 5 years in in (i) an in-house position handling IT and / or technology procurement contracts or (ii) handling IT and / or technology procurement contracts while in practice.

• Candidates with background in technology, IT procurement, cloud, big data, software licensing, SAAS platform and/or telecommunications IT procurement contracts

• Able to work independently

• Personal traits : positive, passionate, collaborative and a team player.

• Good stakeholder management capabilities

• Highly organised with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a time sensitive manner.

• Strong communications and presentation skill with ability to communicate simply and provide training on legal concepts to the business.
