Monitor servers, network devices, and system alerts via NOC monitoring tools.
Identify, log, escalate, and respond to system incidents according to SOP.
Perform first-level troubleshooting for Linux servers and basic network issues.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers in a timely manner.
Perform basic Linux administration tasks (user creation, permission management, service restart, disk cleanup).
Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers.
Perform routine system health checks.
Apply basic OS patches and updates under guidance.
Monitor security alerts and suspicious activities.
Assist in implementing firewall rules and access control.
Execute scheduled backups and verify backup status.
Assist in recovery tasks during system failures.
Update incident tickets and system logs.
Prepare basic reports and handover notes.
Follow NOC procedures and escalation flows.
Respond to internal and external customer tickets via email, phone, and ticketing systems.
Provide basic technical assistance and updates.
Learn and support automation tasks using scripts and tools.
Participate in training, drills, and system improvement activities.
Job Requirements
-> Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
-> System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
-> Working knowledge of virtualization, Ovirt, HyperV, VmWare or equivalent
-> Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
-> Experience with scripting and automation tools
-> A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
-> Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols Qualification Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma from an accredited college/university with major course work in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering or related field.
